Tap a key. The marked key is the note you found in Quick start.
With a chord, sing its lowest note.
Adds the exact numbers. A cent is 1/100 of the step between two piano keys. Hz is how many times per second the sound vibrates.
Practice: tap Start, listen to the note, then sing it back on a relaxed “ah”. Move your voice until the line sits in the middle band. With headphones on, the note plays for four beats while the microphone keeps listening. Tap Hear again to repeat it.
Quest: wear headphones and hold your phone sideways. Each note plays when its bar reaches the line. Listen on the first beat, sing the next three, then breathe. Points reward getting close; the stars count time spent on pitch.
The same note in a higher or lower octave still counts. Scores stay in this browser.
Quest plays the notes while you sing. Without headphones, the microphone hears the app instead of you.
Bluetooth headphones can make the notes feel a little late. Wired ones are the most accurate.
Wireless headphones play sound a moment late, so the notes can feel a little behind your voice. That’s normal. Wired headphones are the most accurate.
Safari on iPhone keeps its bars on websites. To hide them, add Pitch Coach to your Home Screen: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open Pitch Coach from there and it fills the whole screen.
